Our C Science Experiment
Today we did a science experiment starting with our letter of the week - C. We made Coloured Milk. To make coloured milk, you need a plate of milk, food colouring and dishwashing soap. We put drops of colouring into the milk, then we added a drop of the soap. Wow! The reaction was instant as we could see the colours racing to the side away from the soap. This happens because the soap is designed to go after fats and break them down. There are droplets of fat in the milk so the soap tries to break these down and scatters the milk in the process. This is why we ended up with a colourful display!
