Week 2

Artwork

We started drawing some pictures of ourselves, remembering to add in lots of detail.

Blocks

On Friday we played with these blocks.  Some children made 'Secret fortresses' with them! We needed to co-operate and share.

Statistics

We have been looking at grouping items to count them, this graph tells us how many letters in our name, who has the most letters and who has the least.

Watching a play

Room 7/8 invited us to watch a play performed by some of their students.

They read with clear, expressive voices.

We enjoyed watching it in the big classroom with the other children.

Thank you Room 7/8 and well done to the performers!

Numeracy games

We have been working on some games during numeracy.  Throwing a dice helps us recognise number patterns to 6.  We also have to match the number pattern with the dice picture or corresponding numeral.

Amazing apples

We read 'Ten apples up on top' and then made some apples out of playdough.

We also made some 'Amazing Apples' which are displayed in our window.

Amelia came to visit our class today, she is here from Japan.

We are looking forward to having you in our class Amelia, Britta will be excited to see you again too!
