Cocoons
Over the weekend, all three of our caterpillars transformed.
We are looking forward to seeing them become beautiful butterflies!

D is for Discovery
These are some more photos of some of the activities children worked on this week.
Letter D
D is for dinosaurs!
This week we pretended to be archeologists and attended a Dinosaur Dig!
Children carefully brushed the sand away to reveal hidden dinosaurs!

Numeracy
This group of children worked hard to order the large numerals up to 20. This was great co-operative work!

Caterpillars
We have our first caterpillar in the hook position. It won't be long until it turns into a cocoon!

Discovery
It has been great to take advantage of the fine weather to enjoy some activities.
Inside activities are still popular too...
Crabs!
Camerin brought a container of crabs to school. He had found them at Marrs beach. The children spent a lot of time observing them. There were crabs of different sizes so it was very interesting. Thank you Camerin! 
A new member of our class
We have a monarch caterpillar on a swan plant. Hopefully we will be able to observe it as it gets bigger and then eventually becomes a butterfly.

Letter D
Emily and her Mum made some letter D cookies.
Emily offered them around at playtime and we were very excited to see the letter D had been decorated with pebbles! They were yummy! Thank you very much Emily and Mel!
