This week Mr Anderson and Phillip have been flat out cleaning up the damage around the school.

Last week Keith and Loma did an amazing job also.

Holiday Update

Good morning everybody

I am currently at school sweeping my desk!  Yes you read that correctly!  The storm has blown in leaves, dust and dirt and as my desk sits under the window, everything is covered in it!  

Hope you are now beginning to enjoy some holiday time and you have nearly finished clean-ups at your house.  I still have trees to sort but it's good we have some fine weather for that now.  

Sam, I hope your ear is better now!

School Damage

Hoping you are all safe after our huge winds on Thursday/Friday.  Luckily it was Teacher only Day so no children were at school.  The second half of our teacher only day had to be cancelled due to the roof lifting at Club Buller.  By then, many had left to attend to damage.  Here are some pictures of damage at school.

Scooter Rules

This morning we revised our rules for scootering.  There is a special area we need to stay in, and we park carefully afterwards.  Thanks for demonstrating this to us Harrison.

Sam's News

Today Sam bought me a special Easter Egg.  He gave us an excellent explanation of how he had made it using glue, string and a water bomb.  Well done Sam and thank you very much!

M is for Marvellous Mixtures!

We repeated our science experiment today and got some great results...

When we added lemon juice to the red cabbage juice...

...it turned pink!

When we added vinegar...

...it turned pink.

When we added bleach ...

It turned... 

...clear!

Science Experiment

Last week's science experiment was L for Lovely Liquid.

However we did not get the results we were aiming for.

So this week we changed its name - M for Marvelous Mixtures!

Using red cabbage juice, we were able to change its colour by adding different liquids to it!  This was quite exciting as the children could see the colours changing before their eyes.  See if your child can describe what we added and how it affected the mixture.
