Ruby Tui is a New Zealand rugby sevens player. This afternoon, she spoke to the whole school about her experiences. Ruby went to the 2016 Rio Olympics where her team won the silver medal! She was a very inspirational speaker, emphasising the Olympic aims - Friendship, Excellence and Respect. Ruby attended small schools including one right here on the West Coast! Listening to her speak showed the children that they can achieve their goals, no matter where they come from as long as they are prepared to work hard. We also had the opportunity to see her Olympic Medal up close. Thank you for coming to talk to us Ruby!
