A is for apple

We did an apple experiment to reinforce our learning of letter A.

First we looked at things that could float or sink.

Then we put up our hands if we thought an apple would sink...

...or float...

When we tried the apple in water, we discovered that apples do float!

We found out that apples have pockets of air inside them and therefore float!

Did you know that when you cut an apple horizontally, the shape inside is a star?

Jackson’s back!

We were pleased to see Jackson back from his trip to Canada today!

He brought us all a special badge with the Canadian flag on it.

Thank you so much Jackson, we are so pleased to see you back!

Milk in schools

Milk started again today and we are learning to fold our boxes correctly so they can be recycled.

Discovery

We had lots of fun during discovery today.

Spencer’s first visit

We welcomed Spencer for his first visit today.

One of the things he enjoyed doing was having a “banana/highlighter” pen conversation with Tyrone!

Later, he and Tyrone had a snack together.

See you again on Thursday, Spencer!
