Christmas reindeer art
Did you see the stunning pictures the Room 6 Shining Stars did today?
We drew reindeer by listening hard to where we needed to draw in lines and shapes.
The children completed their work independently and weren't allowed to come and show me their pictures until the end of the exercise, I was very impressed with the results, well done Room 6!
Holiday packs
All children took home a pack of work for the holidays today. The pack consists of photocopied sheets containing number lines, 100's charts, numerals, sight words etc. They have already taken home packs of books. A little bit of time spent each day, will help your child retain their current skills and may keep them occupied on rainy days (although let's hope there aren't too many of those!)
Class swap
The children who are moving to Room 7/8 went for a short visit there this morning. While they were gone, Amika organised the other children and lead a game of alphabet/sound match, well done Amika!

Junior School Kapa Haka
Congratulations to all the children in the Junior School Kapa Haka! They performed at the assembly for Irene Van Dyk on Friday and she was very impressed. There are photos on Sheree Cargill's photography website which I recommend you have a look at!
Junior School Athletics
Well the weather held off and we were able to complete our athletics this morning. It was well organised by Mrs Forsyth and lead by the Year 7-8 children, thank you! Great to see so many parents!
