Skye kisses our frog from the blog!

This afternoon we asked Skye, our Teacher Aide, to kiss the frog to see if it would turn into a handsome prince.  We had lots of princesses in our class with the pirates and thought a prince would be ideal.  Skye gave it a try but alas, to no avail, it did not work.  We have concluded that kissing frogs does not really turn them into princes!

Another frog on the blog!

Look what Mr Anderson found this morning!  Another whistling frog, it is smaller than the one we had on Monday.  When everyone has had a look, we will put it back into the garden area.  (And it wasn't even dressed as a pirate!)

Pirate/Princess day

Don't forget to dress up as a Pirate or Princess tomorrow!  I have my outfit sorted, see you tomorrow!

Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin was not only our food of the week, it also starts with P!
These are photos of us trying it.

Waiting patiently...

Then we finished it off with milk!

Harry said it was like being at a cafe!

Thank you to the Lindblom Family

Many thanks to the Lindblom family for making us a delicious pumpkin pie!  Pumpkin was our food of the week and it was a great way to taste something new.  Many of us have never had pumpkin pie before and each one of us had a taste!  Thank you!

Life Education Pens and Pencils

These pens and pencils are available to purchase for $2 each.  The money raised goes towards continuing to make Life Education programmes available in schools.  This is one way of supporting an excellent, educational programme.  I am taking orders in the classroom.

Mrs Clementson

This is Mrs Clementson who worked in the class this morning.  It was also her birthday, a great day to spend with Room 6!  We hope she had a great day!

Healthy Harold Lunch Box Competition

Today I will send home notices about this competition should you wish to do it with your child at home.    There are lots of Life Education prizes to be won!

Life Education

This morning the Room 6 Shining Stars were extremely lucky to visit Carmen and Harold G. Raffe in the  mobile classroom.  We talked about some of the things we need to keep healthy.  There were lots of pictures to look at and discuss!  We all had a turn to pull out some pictures from Carmen's special bag and find the correct place for them.  There were poems, songs and even a quick visit from Harold. We had a great time and can't wait to go back next week!  In the meantime, we will do some work in the special books we were given.

Super Readers!

Congratulations to Kylah and Denys on achieving 50 nights of reading, and to Rihanna for 25 nights of reading!  Keep up this great work!

Thank you Mrs Cockfield!

A special thank you to Mrs Cockfield today who bought us in a huge helium balloon that looks just like Harold G. Raffe.  It is awesome!
