Term One's Tricky Words

These words have been the trickiest for Room 6 to learn to recognise this term.  They have not featured often in their reading so the children have not had too much exposure to them yet.

Singing at assembly

Many of the Room 5 and 6 children were in awe at assembly today - they could hear Mr Duston singing right beside us and were very impressed!  Great singing Mr Duston!

Awesome art!

Room 3 showed their amazing pieces of artwork at assembly.  The colours were beautiful and we could see they had spent a lot of time on their pictures.  Well done Room 3.

Kapahaka

At assembly this morning, we were treated to a Haka performance by the school Kapahaka group.  The boys did an amazing job and one day I hope to see this group made up of the current Room 6 boys!  Miss Halsall and Mrs Robertson run the Kapahaka group and do a brilliant job!

Principal's Award

Congratulations on your Principal's Award at assembly Sam.  Keep up this great work!

Weta!

Look at this weta.  I found it outside at my house.  When we had looked at it, I let it go outside, I hope it doesn't end up at your house next!

Can you spot it now??
