Crazy socks day

Look at the crazy socks Sam wore to school!  His Mum made them especially as we had Crazy Socks Day to raise awareness for children with Downs Syndrome.  Thank you to everyone for supporting this cause.

Here is Sam showing his socks to Taryn.

HEART at assembly

Today Mr Adams and Mrs Grant talked to us about HEART.  Heart stands for Honesty, Encouragement, Attitude, Respect and Together we can.  We practise this in the playground and can earn special Heart awards.

Denys was able to answer lots of questions about Heart!  Good work!
Kade was pleased to see his brother Niko on the short DVD.

Singing at assembly

Here we are singing "Kiwi kids are rocking it".  The Year 8 children are doing the actions at the front.
Look at Sam grooving!

H is for Helicopter

Today Tara brought her helicopter to show us.  She flew it around the room and we watched as it squirted out bubbles!  It was awesome!  Thanks Tara, we will remember H for Helicopter!

Poems

Thanks for helping glue poems into books today Kylah and Ava!

H is for happy hearts

Here are the happy hearts we made yesterday.

H is for house

Here is Porsha with her House.  Great work Porsha!

Oral language

We know to gain information we need to ask questions.  Today when Ava was telling us about the beach, Sam asked if she was going in a boat.  Great question Sam!

We were talking about my nephew in Invercargill.  I explained Invercargill was way down the bottom of New Zealand a long way away from us.  Kylah asked me if they were upside down there?   A really good question Kylah!

Class award

Congratulations on your class award today Kylah!  Keep up this great work!

First school visit

Today we welcomed Porsha to Room 6 for her first visit.  See you again next week Porsha!
