Army Soldiers
When we got changed for the pool, Kai and Kane said
"Look, we're soldiers too in our army togs".
So we went outside for a photo!
Military Exercise in Westport
Westport is currently involved in a large military exercise involving soldiers from many places. When we went to the pool today, we were greeted by soldiers who were guarding the Solid Energy Centre. It had been used to process 'refugees' from the nation of Becara! We were able to speak to the soldiers and have a quick look at their vehicles, which tied in well with our transport unit!

Junior Kapa Haka
On Tuesday mornings, Miss Halsall takes the Junior Kapa Haka group. Room 6 went to watch this morning so we could see what it was about and decide if we wanted to join. Some Room 6 children have indicated they would like to go so will begin next week.
Royal Visit
This morning we discussed the upcoming visit to Westport by Prince Charles. We looked at photos of him and learnt that one day, he will be a King. Some of us will ask our Parents/Caregivers if they can take us to see him on Saturday when he is in Westport! We wrote stories about him and will illustrate them next.
