Noah's news
Noah brought two grasshoppers to school. He found them in his bathroom. Noah wrote a huge story about them, well done Noah!

Cross country awards
Congratulations to Sam, Jayah, Amika (and
Rico) for doing so well in the cross country.
Shape work
We used these on Friday and it was great hearing the children work co-operatively and share the blocks. The best comment I heard was from Brooklyn who said, "Ben, you're such a genius. I tried hard to make one like that!"
Cuisenaire Rods
Who remembers playing with these when they were at school!
They are great for helping us learn basic facts to 5 and 10.

Cross country
We held the cross country today and managed to get it completed before the rain!
Congratulations to Sam (3rd, 5 year old boys), and Rico, (4th). Also to Jayah (3rd, 5 year old girls) and Amika, (4th). Everyone competed really well!

Chicks!
On Tuesday, Erin from Room 5 and her Mum brought some chickens in to show us.
We were allowed to give them a one-fingered pat.
Some of us held them.
There were 7 chickens in a box with special chicken food.
We thought they were pretty special! Thank you Erin!
